Foodstuffs North Island and Gilmours transform its business with Adept Group and Salesforce
Adept Group working with its client Gilmours, the wholesale B2B division of Foodstuffs North Island, the largest 100% New Zealand owned and operated food and beverage supplier, has undertaken an ambitious digital transformation.
The transformation was to deliver new levels of service and success to its customers based on the Salesforce CRM and B2B commerce platform at scale. The new B2B platform provides an exceptional B2C experience in a complex B2B world across thousands of customers and tens of thousands of products. The project, delivered to tight timelines and ahead of budget, is testament to the partnership between Adept, Gilmours and Salesforce. First live in 2018 and further developed since then, the Salesforce B2B platform has delivered a significantly enhanced customer experience and exceptional results for the Gilmours business and its customers. Serving as a platform for innovation, Salesforce B2B commerce will enable Gilmours to continue to lead the market well into the future.
For this innovative work, Adept Group has been named a recipient of the Salesforce Partner Innovation Award in B2B Commerce. The award was presented at Dreamforce 2019.
“The Gilmours project is really a dream project. The opportunity to work with cutting edge Salesforce technology, in true partnership with the Salesforce team and our client Gilmours to deliver outstanding measurable and high profile results is really exceptional. We are very thankful at Adept for this opportunity and while when we embark on a customer project we are not doing so for awards or accolades; it is really amazing to get this globally recognised one. The whole Adept team is thrilled and truly proud to be recognised globally by Salesforce for our work on this project and the outstanding results for our customer" said Mike Keane, Director Adept Group.
“Gilmours and Foodstuffs are very proud of the results we have been able to achieve through a partnership with Adept Group and Salesforce. We’ve experienced outstanding online revenue growth, built a lean and nimble platform that will drive agile transformation, completely transforming our digital customer experience. This is all part of our promise to be New Zealand’s most trusted and preferred Foodservice partner, that delivers excellent service and always has what customers need" said Gemma McBeath, GM Wholesale and Customer Service Foodstuffs North Island.
“The work that our Partner Innovation Awards winners do to drive customer success deserves to be celebrated,” said Tyler Prince, Executive Vice President, Industries & Partners, Salesforce. “Companies across every industry are increasingly turning to the cloud and to trusted partners to guide them through their digital transformation journeys.”
